Today I decided to test out some boots that I was sent to review from Chatham Marine. If I am completely honest, I almost said no to these, as they aren't really the kind of thing I would wear day to day, but then I remembered last year's snow and not having any suitable footwear, and the fact that I have a dog to walk and also go camping in the Lake District quite a lot. These things made me change my mind, as I'm always laughed at by my family for not having anything weather suitable! Dan and I took Toby a walk this morning, and despite there not being any snow or frost, I thought it would be a good time to try them out. I was actually pleasantly surprised at how they look when on, as I thought they would be pretty clumpy and hard to style. This wasn't the case, as I found I could easily work them in with my wardrobe, as I did today with a typical outfit of mine - skinny jeans and a chunky knit.
Vintage Jacket - Oxfam Originals
Jumper - She Likes*
Jeans - Topshop
Boots - Chatham Marine*
Faux Fur Collar - H&M
Lips - Raspberry by Boots Natural Collection
The boots held up well on the stroll we went on, being comfy and warm in the chilly weather. I'm actually hoping it will hurry up and snow now as I think they will be perfect with the grip on the soles. In the past I have dug out my chestnut UGG boots but being fabric on the outside, they would end up getting wet and leave me with cold toes. These definitely won't have that problem, and are a much more fashionable alternative in my eyes.
I also want to quickly mention my jacket that Dan treated me to in Manchester earlier in the week. If you follow me on Instagram you will have already seen this, but if not - how amazing!? Dan spotted it and we ended up trailing back afterwards to buy it as I couldn't leave it there. I love the military feel and the badges, and think it's a nice nod to the current khaki trend that is so big at the minute.
What do you think of these boots? What footwear do you turn to when the snow comes?
love the jacket!

These boots look perfect for the snow and ice we sometimes get over Christmas! They're not something I'd usually go for either but I think you've really managed to work these into your look :)
