EATING OUT: THE DOUBLE TREE, PRESTON (& MAKING SOMEONE SMILE!)

A couple of weeks back I was contacted to take part in a lovely little campaign to make a loved one smile! This came at the perfect time, as Dan and I were discussing how little we actually get out together, whether that be for a meal or drinks, and how we thought we would start to make the effort to set some time aside each month to go out and treat ourselves. 

I decided to use my challenge money to treat Dan to a meal at our favourite Indian restaurant as a little surprise to make him smile! I thought I'd write a little review style post about the restaurant as it's a real gem that's local to us, so if you're in Preston then take note of this place! We hotfooted it to The Double Tree on a rainy weeknight, and were instantly greeted at the door by friendly staff and shown to our table. We've eaten here a number of times now and knew exactly what we were ordering within seconds of sitting down!

I went for a yummy starter of Vegetable Samosas which I get every single time I'm there as they are so delicious, followed by Chicken Bhuna, a dish I tried when I ate there with family after my brother let me have a taste. I'm not a fan of a lot of spice, so this one is perfect for me as it's really tasty without being big on heat. Dan opted for the Seekh Kebabs (which I of course had to steal a taste of!) followed by the Chicken Tandoori Masala, plus we ordered sides of Pilau Rice and Garlic Naan.

Every single thing was absolutely delicious, and we couldn't fault a thing. The prices are affordable, the service is brilliant and it's such a lovely atmosphere in there. We would definitely recommend it, and will of course be back again for more in the near future, whether that be for a nice evening out or for a cheeky takeaway!

Thanks so much to Oasis Dental Care for asking me to take part in the campaign. It may not be a teeth-y one, but as you can see from the photos it definitely made Dan (and me!) smile! It was lovely to spend some quality time together and enjoy a nice treat!
