For the third and final (for now) instalment of my house tour series, I wanted to let you have a peek inside our kitchen! Like the bathroom, it's one of the rooms that completely won me over as it's been recently refurbished and had everything we needed without us having to purchase any of the big appliances ourselves (a big win for a rented property!).
We both enjoy cooking, so a decent sized kitchen was a must for us, and this one is just right! Not to bore you too much on the basics, but there's plenty of cupboard space, gorgeous glass cabinets to display lots of fancy things that are too pretty to hide away, and lots of natural light flooding through windows and doors to the garden. There's a cute set of shelves that hold all of our recipe books, and the cream colour scheme matched all of our appliances and utensils from back at the flat.
The whole room has a slight 'country cottage' feel to it, and is the only room in the house that matches my old interior taste you may remember from the room tour I posted back when I lived with my parents. There's lots of floral prints, vintage styling and pastel accessories, but I think they fit so well with the kitchen design and make it feel like it's somewhere a whole lot prettier than Preston!
I guess there isn't really a whole lot more to say about a kitchen, but if you're interested in achieving a similar look, then you'll easily find similar items on the high street. Most of our electrical appliances are from Tesco, Sainsburys and John Lewis, and my accessories you see on the work tops are almost always from Homesense and TKMaxx!
I'm hoping to spend some time getting our dining room up to scratch with some new furniture and accessories over Summer, so will show you that once we're happy with it. For now though, you can catch up on my bathroom and living room posts if you missed them!
Which rooms in your house are your favourite? Where do you pick up your homeware from?
