If there's a way to my heart (other than food) it's most definitely shoes. I'm one of those girls who has too many pairs to count, and regularly find pairs at the back of the cupboard that I've only worn once, but that's beside the point. Walking around barefoot isn't something that floats my boat, so as long as there are shoes in my life, me and my feet are happy.
I thought I'd show you the latest additions to my collection, just in time for Spring from the fabulous Ego Shoes. I chose a selection of boots, flats and trainers to fill the gaps in my wardrobe. Firstly let's talk about the boots - Thigh high, check. Velvet, check. Sparkly insect embellishments??!! CHECK!
These are insanely beautiful, super comfy and like no others I've seen recently. They also come in navy blue which are beautiful, but I figured black would fit with more of the clothing I own and I'd get more wear out of them. I'm loving them paired with a nude chunky knit dress to let the boots do all the talking!
Next up is a pair of trainers - now, if you know me, you will know I love my trainers and have become a bit obsessed with wearing them whenever I'm not at work, so it will come as no surprise that these beauts were top of my Ego wish list. They have pom-poms so a pretty obvious choice if you ask me.
These are the ultimate comfort shoe but with added style, and the khaki shade is bang on trend, perfect for transitioning from whatever season we're in now (who even knows anymore?) to Spring. I styled these recently with an amazing jumpsuit from Monki for a lazy day at home, but can see them looking amazing paired with leather leggings and an oversized army style jacket, or boyfriend jeans and a simple white tee. Come on sun!!
Finally, and what I think might just be my favourites, are these embroidered slip on mules with the prettiest detailing. I don't know if it's just me, but whenever I get a new pair of flats, they tend to cause havoc and rip the back of my heel to shreds for the first few wears, so these are an absolute God send. The stylish big sister to those awful slip ons every 16 year old in 2005 wore with the visible stitching and bows (seriously, wtf?), these are an absolute dream and allow me to relive my teenage years again in a much better way, minus the questionable white school socks.
These are going to come in so handy for work when (if) it stops raining, as I travel around the country a lot and spend a lot of time walking from trains to offices to meetings, so comfy shoes are a must! These look so good with skinny jeans or tapered trousers, and I can see them becoming a firm favourite.

So that's the lot! Three very different but equally fabulous new additions to my Spring wardrobe that I think are going to fit right in perfectly. Expect to see these popping up in many outfits to come!
What are your favourite footwear trends for the new season?
