Today was my nephew's christening day, and I was lucky enough to be chosen as one of the Godparents which is a lovely thing to be asked. A few weeks back I bought a dress for the occasion which I posted about here. I struggled finding exactly what I wanted, so instead I went for something I could alter and adjust to make it just right. I took the dress up quite a lot so that it fell above the knee, and also cut the sleeves off, but that isn't obvious in these pictures.
Chiffon Bolero - Warehouse
Dress & Belt - Ryan's Vintage, Manchester
Shoes - Primark
As you can see it looks very different from before! I wore it with a navy chiffon bolero and kitten heels for a Spring look, even though it was absolutely freezing outside! I'm glad I got this dress though. It will come in really handy over Summer and for our holiday as its really light and works well dressed up or down.
Have you ever altered anything like this? How did it turn out?

I've never altered anything myself - my sewing projects always seem to get waylaid. You've done a fab job though - it's such a perfect length now, and looks great with the flash of colour :)
