A YEAR IN OUTFITS: 2013

This is becoming something of a tradition every year on the blog now, and this year is no exception! Now that 2013 is drawing to a close, I thought it would be fun to look back on some of the outfits I've worn and how my style has changed throughout the year. This year there are no drastic hair colour changes, hurrah! However 2013 did see the arrival of some pretty nifty hair extensions, and a lot of clothes (oops)...

Like last year, I seem to have injected a lot of colour in to my wardrobe, but also a lot of denim. Denim was obviously big thing this year with the whole nineties revival trend, but I hadn't realised just how much of it I wore! You name it, I have it - jeans, skirts, dungarees and dress - absolute denim galore! I also think my overall look has got a lot more casual than previous years, probably as a result of having a relaxed job when it came to fashion. In the past I've always worn a uniform, so on days off I would make much more of an effort to wear my nicest clothes and get dressed up, but now I can wear what I like (within reason) I don't feel the need to go to such lengths.

Some of my favourite pieces from 2013 are my Topshop Joni jeans in all colours as I have worn them to death, my Topshop breton stripe tee, Ark pastel knit jumper, my Vintage patterned cardi, Topshop floral skirt and checked smock dress, and of course by old battered biker jacket to name a few.

This year I also decided that I had exhausted all four corners of my back garden, and started to venture further afield for my outfit photos. I've loved exploring and rediscovering my favourite parts of Preston to find pretty backdrops for my photos, and can't wait to continue in the new year.

I just want to thank you all for your support throughout 2013 (soppy, I know) because if it wasn't for all of you I wouldn't have been able to do some of the amazing things I have done this year. I've had some incredible opportunities off the back of my blog that I'm so overwhelmed by, and I only have you all to thank! Here's to another year and a whole lot more outfits!
