Exciting news at Sitting Pretty this week! You may have seen that Dan and I applied for our first place together on Monday, so we are keeping everything crossed and hoping the application goes through smoothly so we can have a quick and stress free move! All this talk of moving out has got me thinking about decor, so for a couple of weeks I'll be bringing some home ware inspired wish lists and other blog posts. I'm starting off with Homebase, who have some gorgeous products in at the moment, with everything from sofas and beds, to lighting and soft furnishings. I've picked out some of my favourites to show you below...

You can probably spot a theme emerging with colours and styling. I'm really loving greys, duck egg blues and flashes of yellow when it comes to colours, and I'm lusting after 1930s inspired furnishings like that amazing sideboard at number 15! I've always been a fan of the retro look when it comes to home decor. Think sleek lines, bold shapes and a splash of geometrics in the form of prints and patterns. I also really like the whole Scandinavian theme that is coming through in homewares at the moment, with chunky knits on cushions and throws, and a lot of wood showing in light fixtures and other decorations. Finally, my home wouldn't be complete without some cute additions such as pretty basket weave candle holders, dog book ends and some cute owl mugs. Oh, and I think I can make some room for the hippo to join us too!
Which pieces are your favourite from the Homebase range? Have you bought any home furnishings from there recently?
Lovely picks, that rhino really caught my eye.
