March has been a crazy old month for me what with moving house, but we've finally settled in and I've managed to get round to trying some great new products over the past few weeks. Great news for you guys as my favourites were starting to get a little repetitive! Over the past month I've been giving some new hair products a whirl which I'm loving, as well as rediscovering some of my old 'go to' skincare, beauty and fragrance products too. Here's what I've been enjoying using throughout March...
Boots Dry Shampoo - I'm a die hard fan of the Batiste Dry Shampoos, but when budgets were tight a few weeks back I had to go for a cheaper alternative, so thought I'd give the Boots own brand version a go. I really love the scent of this one, called 'Paradise Island', and it is just as good as the Batiste ones when it comes to disguising oiliness and freshening up the hair. I think I may have a new favourite!
Charles Worthington Salon At Home Moisture Seal Shampoo & Conditioner* - My hair has been pretty neglected recently and I've had a lot of problems with it being dry and unmanageable, probably due to the strength of the colour I have done and the fact I used to abuse it with the curlers! This shampoo and conditioner combo has helped to give it a big moisture boost and make sure it stays looking healthy prior to my long overdue cut this weekend!
Fudge Urban Iced Raspberry & Vanilla Styling Mousse* - I haven't delved in to the hair mousse game for a while now as I've tried to cut down on using a hair dryer, and to me, mousse without a blow dry leaves my hair crisp and sticky. I've been using this on slightly damp hair after letting it dry naturally for a while, scrunching it in at the roots and mid sections for volume before styling. I then dry it completely with the hairdryer on a low heat setting and add some curls with my Enrapture Totem Encode Styler to finish off. Not only does this mousse add volume and texture to my limp, flat hair, but it smells INCREDIBLE. Seriously, it makes me want to eat my hair. Not that I would, mind.
Marc Jacobs Daisy Sunshine Eau So Fresh - This has been a big favourite of mine, as are pretty much all of the variations on Daisy, but I've been wearing this a lot lately. I'm not sure why exactly I've been gravitating towards this over all of my other perfumes, but it's such a beautiful scent and reminds me of Summer! It's a lot sweeter and younger than the original Daisy, which is a nice change, but it's not overly powering so it's great for day time.
Boots Botanics Hydrating Eye Cream - I'm not a big eye cream girl. I understand why people use it and I know it can be an important step to have in your routine, but I'm pretty lazy and prefer to skip it. However I've been suffering from dry, itchy eyes with the hayfever starting to creep in, so this has made them soothed and moisturised and kept the bags at bay!
French Connection Lip Gloss - This doesn't have a shade number or name, but it was part of a gift set that my friend got me as a leaving present from my previous job back in December, and I've been using it to death lately! It's the most perfect pink shade for my pale skin tone and is a really nice consistency- not too thick or sticky. Its lasts a long time on the lips too and the colour pay off is pretty darn good!
MAC Lipstick In Lady Danger - I've also been wearing a red lip a lot lately, particularly when I want to give my look a pop of colour, and this has been my favourite one to reach for. I love the almost orange tone to Lady Danger and think it really makes my eyes stand out and skin appear a lot more flawless than it is! Got to love a bit of trickery!
Stylfile - You might remember this nifty invention from Tom Pellereau off The Apprentice. It's a curved nail file that makes shaping your nails so much easier! I'm now on my second one of these and I love them. They give a really nice subtle curve to the nail tips and also have a buffing layer on the reverse side. Super clever!
So that's what I've been loving using this month! I've got a whole load of other things I'm trying at the moment so you may see some of those in a month's time. We shall see how they stand up to the test! What's on your list of favourites for March?
