Neon is something I rarely wear, and when I do wear it I tend to go for it in small doses, so this dress from Ad Lib Girl is something completely out of my comfort zone. I was one hundred percent sold on the fit and style of this shift though, so I decided to give it a whirl and I'm glad I did! The raspberry/fuchsia shade is so amazing and bright, and sits surprisingly well against my pale skin, something I was a little worried about at first! It also has a dipped hem which is really flattering as it's short enough at the front to give the illusion that my little stumpy legs are longer than they are, and long enough at the back to ensure my decency is kept in tact!!

I wanted to style the dress in a more casual way than a shift would typically worn, as the colour is so fun and eye catching. Rather than going for the usual court shoes and statement necklace, instead I opted for a biker jacket and some Converse for a laid back look, perfect for a relaxing weekend. I also threw on my favourite backpack and wore some bright pink lipstick to mirror the colour of the dress. I really love the way this outfit turned out, and think I'll be a bit braver with neon shades in the future as I'm pleasantly surprised!
Have you tried the neon trend? How would you style a shift dress like this?
This dress is fantastic, I love the colour. I love how you've styled it, there's nothing better than dressing something down with a pair of converse! xx
