If you know me, you'll know that I get ridiculously excited about Christmas (usually far too early!) and turn in to a child around this time of year. I thought I'd post a little update about what I've been getting up to over the start of December, which is pretty much all Christmas related, and show you our new tree and decorations. Plus, it's our first Christmas in our own place, which makes it all the more exciting for me!
Leggings - Primark
Slippers - UGG*
The first of December has always been the day I put my tree up back at home, so I of course had to keep the tradition going and kick off the month the right way! The only problem with our flat is that it's pretty tiny, so we didn't have room for the huge real tree I always dream of having! We found a nifty pop up tree at Argos that fits our space perfectly, and dressed it in black, silver and gold with the odd splash of red to tie in with our decor. I also went to down on decking out the rest of the flat, with a gorgeous wreath from Homesense and lots of festive garlands.
We spent the rest of our day lounging in our pyjamas and getting in the Christmas mood. I donned my new favourite leggings from Primark which are covered in the cutest little penguins, and the warmest, cosiest slippers I've ever owned, which are from UGG! They are sheepskin lined and have a lovely cable knit outer to them. They've been keeping my toes warm all week on those chilly evenings we've been having so far this month.
December wouldn't be December with our annual trip to Manchester's Christmas Markets! We took ourselves off on the train last week for an early evening of dutch pancakes, Gluhwein and German sausages under the twinkling lights of the wooden chalets. If I'm not feeling Christmassy, then a trip to the markets is guaranteed to get me in the festive spirit, and this one was no exception.
How have you been getting in the Christmas spirit so far this month? I'd love to see all your Christmas posts! Link them in the comments below :)
Oh I love this! I get way too overly excited for Christmas, but hey ho, it's just the Christmas spirit! x
