For years now I've admired the lace bralet from afar, always thinking that it would never be something I could pull of, but after my brave jump in to the world of crop tops last summer, I realised you don't actually have to be the skinniest girl in the world to wear one! Cleverly disguised beneath a good pair of high waisted jeans is a belly/muffin top/spare tyre that refuses to shift no matter what I eat or what exercise I do, and because the waist line on the jeans covers it completely, whilst sucking it in at the same time, I don't feel conscious of it anymore. This is where crop tops work on me. There's my secret. Don't tell anyone...

Obviously with the weather being so temperamental at the minute, I wasn't ready to brave the bralet solo, so I threw on my favourite checked shirt to dress the look down, and to bring out the gorgeous green shade of the lace too. I hadn't seen one in this colour before, and for some reason I was more drawn to this than the black version at Miss Tempted as it looks a lot softer for a pale complexion. I have to say, I absolutely love the way it looks and fits, and can't wait to take this on holiday in July as it looks so good with some pale wash denim shorts I picked up recently. At £6.99, I'm tempted (get it?) to pick another one up in a different colour as there's a few versions of the bralet available on the site!
I think I've definitely been converted to the bralet trend. Have you braved the bralet yet? How would you style yours for more of a laid back look?

Ah the bralet looks amazing on you - makes me think maybe I can pull it off too with high waisted jeans!
