CHRISTMAS GIFT GUIDE: GIFTS FOR GUYS + GIRLS

You're probably sick of seeing these gift guide posts by now, but I've been wanting to do one for a couple of weeks now and thought I'd get one up before it's too late! Christmas shopping is something I LOVE. There's something about picking out gifts for all my family that I really look forward to every year. Then the whole task of wrapping is again, something I love. Christmas isn't Christmas to me without an evening spent watching festive films whilst wrapping the presents in pretty matching papers and ribbons. You can't beat it! I know most people despise all the above, so to make life a little easier, I've put together a few suggestions for girls and guys, incase you still have a few left to buy for!

Whether you're after something for your sister, your mum or your bestie there's something here for all of them.There are some amazing beauty gift sets around this year which are perfect for easy presents, such as the Ciate Mini Paint Palette that comes in the most adorable little box, and then there's the new Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette (if you can find it in stock anywhere of course!) that has just been released, featuring twelve pretty neutral shades, perfect for all skin tones. If you're not sure what colours they go for, then you could pick up a gorgeous make up bag instead so that they can store all their beauty goodies in style! Accessories are also ideal for Christmas presents or stocking fillers if your on a tight budget. Crown & Glory do the most beautiful floral headbands which I'm sure any girl would love (I have one and I adore it!) or you could play it safe with some nice jewellery. I love the vintage-esque ring from Dixi (number 2) as it looks so much more expensive than it is! Or how about a case for her phone or iPad? There are tonnes of gorgeous prints out there, and even sites where you can create your own for a more personal gift. If you're shopping for your mum or an auntie or grandma, then check out Orla Kiely's range of mugs. They are super pretty and have such lovely retro prints on them, and are an affordable way of buying the brand. Or another option would be candles! I love the mini travel candles by Neom for a cheaper alternative to the full size ones. There are oodles of great candle brands out there at the minute selling really nice, luxury candles that smell incredible and make great gifts. If all else fails though, then go for some pjs! Every girl loves her pyjamas, and the silky River Island set will make her feel a million dollars!

I find guys notoriously hard to buy for in my family, but covering the basics should see you right. Personally I wouldn't buy clothing unless it was for Dan, but as I said for the girls, accessories can be a sure fire winner. It's winter, it's cold, he'll need a hat. Enough said about that one, but if you want something a little more unusual then locally based company Northern Goods Co. sell nifty handmade key clips and key fobs, which would make the perfect stocking filler. If you want something more traditional though, a good watch is a safe bet, like the classic Grandad watch. If he's into his technology then why not go for a sleek case for his iPad or tablet, or pick up a Lomography camera if he's into his photography. Not only do they take a good photo but the La Sardina cameras look pretty cool too. A few members of my family are into their food, so if yours are too, how about a set of sauces or marinades like the Budweiser Barbecue Sauces from Home Wet Bar to spice up his cooking, or if he's really adventurous, then  pick up a copy of GQ Eats, a recipe book compiled by the people from the top men's mag and some of today's most respected chefs. Finally, even though they may not like to admit it, every guy likes to be looked after, so pamper him with some luxury grooming products such as the Triumph & Disaster Old Fashioned Shave Cream. Job done!
