It's been almost four months since we moved in to our new place, and a House Tour is well overdue! Since there are some rooms that I'm not entirely happy with just yet, I decided to show you a room at a time instead. That way I can show you more of the little bits and bobs in each room and build this up as a little series of posts. Kicking things off, one of my favourite rooms and where we spend most of our time; the living room!
If you remember the Apartment Tour I posted a couple of years back, then you'll recognise a lot of the items in this room, but since the space is bigger we've added quite a few more pieces to our collection! The house is Victorian (so I believe), and has some lovely original features, such as original wood floors and high ceilings, and I love how our modern furniture and clean white pieces contrast with the room. Here's a peek inside!
Cushions - H&M & Primark | Throw - TKMaxx | Lamp - Homesense | Side Table - Ikea | Photo Frame - Oliver Bonas
Cactus - Ikea | Marble Pot - H&M | Candlestick Holders - H&M
TV Cabinet - Ikea | Lamp - Argos | Metal Basket - H&M | Mirror - Homesense | Vintage Fire Guard - Ebay
It's still not completely where I want it to be just yet, but I love the room so much. It's really bright and airy thanks to the high ceilings and big bay window, and we love to spend time chilling out on the sofa watching something good on TV! I'd love to get an armchair with a high back in a deep yellow shade to match all of the flashes of colour throughout the room, and a couple of the walls are looking a little bear, but I'm thinking of getting a couple of these Instagram posters made to hang side by side above the TV.
So that's our living room! Coming up in the next couple of weeks I'll also be letting you have a sneak peek inside our kitchen and bathroom too, so stay tuned for those!

It looks so lovely, Claire! I've fancied one of those knitted pouffe's for ages.

Thanks so much Catherine! Would definitely recommend the one we got. It's from Very and wasn't too expensive :) x
