If like me you're stuck with blessed with the palest of skins, you'll know the struggles of finding make up shades to suit you, especially lipsticks! I thought I'd help a sister or two out and show you my absolute favourite lip colours that I've discovered over the years. There have, admittedly, been a number of shades that will definitely not be featured and should be forgotten about (MAC Snob, I'm looking at you) but as I've grown up I think I've figured it all out and found the colours that suit me and compliment my skin tone.
Yes, most of these are MAC, but I just can't get enough of the creamy formulas and that heavenly vanilla scent. They're hands down my favourite lipsticks and I have far too many, but I love (most of) them so much!
Starting with the nudes, Patisserie is my all time favourite and I think I'm now on my third bullet since discovering it last year. It's what I carry round in my bag and wear pretty much every day. It's a subtle shade that's nude without being too pale, and pink without being overly obvious. Then there's Please Me, a matte pink that is again, not too over the top and fairly subtle. It's VERY matte so I always apply a little bit of gloss over the top, but the colour is so pretty!
When I want a little more colour but nothing too bold, I go for Sunny Seoul, which has a touch or coral, a favourite of mine in Summer, or No 16 from the Kate Moss Rimmel collection, which is very similar but slightly less glossy and more opaque.
Another favourite of mine that I've worn for years, (and again, third bullet) is Chatterbox. It's a slightly deeper pink and goes beautifully with a sweeping of rosey pink blush!
Now on to the reds! First up is Infrared by Topshop, which is an orange toned red that's ever so slightly sheer. I used to wear this a lot when I had my hair bleached blonde as it wasn't too bright against it, but now I love it with a simple face of make up for when I want a flash of colour. Then when I want something more bold, I turn to Chanel for the super chic Coromandel, a glossy bright red that is so flattering and so classic. I also love MAC's Russian Red which is a darker tone and matte, so it lasts for hours!
Finally, if I'm after something a little different, I go for a plum shade, especially in Winter. I love Bobbi Brown's Cosmic Raspberry which is bright and beautiful and really makes my blue eyes stand out, or there's Magnetism by Illamasqua which is deeper and more dramatic, great for an evening look.

My lipstick collection is much bigger than I would care to admit, so it was pretty hard to whittle it down to just ten favourites, but I think I've done a good job of picking out a range of colours. These tend to be the one's that I turn to the most and have stuck with over time, but if you've any suggestions of shades to suit a fellow pale gal then leave your suggestions in the comments!
What are your favourite lip shades to wear? Do any of mine make your list?
