Happy New Year guys and girls! I hope you all had a great Christmas and an absolute blast of a new year? I had the best break, even if I did get struck down with the dreaded flu, but it was great to have a good ten day stretch away from work, with the work phone switched off, Christmas films on the Sky box, copious amounts of cheese, meat and chocolates in my belly and lots of time with family. It's back to the grind now though and I've been feeling super reflective over the past couple of days, thinking of ways to better myself in 2017 and ways to make sure I make the most of the year. Here's some of the things I want to achieve this year, some big and some small. Come at me, resolutions!
1. SAVE, SAVE, SAVE!
With a wedding date set for June 2018, it might seem like we have all the time in the world to save up and book our dream day, but time flies! This year's number one priority is to save money towards the wedding so that we can afford the things we would love, so I'll be trying to save as much as I can and spend as little as possible. I'm a self confessed shopaholic, so this one is going to be a challenge to say the least, but I know I can do it!
Running with the theme, before I know it I'll have a wedding dress to fit in to! I won't lie, I've not held back from the pigs in blankets this Christmas so its definitely time to cut the crap and start looking after my body, inside and out. This year I'll be starting the Results With Lucy plan and sticking to it for a whole 12 months. You'll be able to follow my journey on that from February and I'll also be setting up a new Instagram account for anyone who is interested in keeping up with my progress, meals and workouts! I can't wait to get at it, get back in to shape and start eating proper food after all the buffets!
3. GET BACK IN THE OUTFIT GAME
Blogging my personal style photos has always been something I've loved to do on my blog since I started almost eight years ago, and I've always had a huge passion for styling new looks. This year I'm going to make the effort to photograph my outfits more often, and I'm going to aim for at least one a week where I can. I'm also going to aim to post more often on here in general!
4. STOP WASTING DAYS ON THE SOFA
Its become apparent to me recently that I spend a lot of my days off sat at home, not doing very much, and generally wasting day after day doing nothing and seeing no one. Now that Dan is starting a new job, it's hopefully going to mean that we see a lot more of each other, so I'm hoping to make the most of each day! I'm thinking walks in the local parks and fells, drives out to the beach, strolls by the river, picnics in the park and maybe even the odd bike ride!
5. JUST SAY YES!
Finally, I want to start saying yes to new opportunities and adventures when they arrive and get myself out there more! I've started doing this more already, accepting invites to events, meeting new people and getting involved in more, especially in the blogging world, and I'm loving it. Here's to more fun in 2017!
Let's see how many of those I can stick to this year, as I'm usually pants at resolutions! I'm feeling super positive though and excited for what's ahead. What are your goals for 2017? Let's do this!

I'm definitely guilty of spending way too much time on the sofa - should probably add that one to my resolutions too! Always love your outfit posts, so looking forward to seeing more in 2017.
