LADY IN RED

So I'm pretty excited about showing you this instalment of my holiday outfits, mainly because of how beautiful this little red dress is, but also because its from one of my best friend's clothing brands! The Winnie dress is just one of the beautiful pieces from the new Lily & The Lamplight collection 'House Of Dreams' and every item is made by hand in the UK. I knew from the minute I saw this one that I had to have it! The colour, the print, the shape and the wrap detail make it perfect for Summer, and I've had so many compliments when I've worn it so far! 

I usually struggle with wrap dresses as they never seem to fit right on my frame, but this one sits perfectly and the shape is so flattering. The tiered sleeves add an extra feminine touch and make me feel like the sassy dancing girl emoji, and even though the skirt is floaty and lightweight, it stayed in placed for the most part of a windy night time stroll along the beach front! Top marks all round!

I wore it with a pair of lace up sandals and a simple clutch bag, keeping things simple to let the dress do all the talking. With a print this pretty, you really don't need much in the accessory department! I can't wait to wear it again this Summer, but if the sun decides not to shine, it would even look lovely worn over a black high neck knit with tights and boots!
