Anyway, yesterday I saw this skirt at my local ASDA supermarket for just £7.00, reduced from £14.00, and fell in love with it as soon as I clapped eyes on it! It's the perfect shade of grey to take me right through to summer, and the pleats add interest rather than it being plain and straight. It is a tricky one to style though, as it can look like an old school skirt from the past, or make you look like an extra from a period drama, but teamed with something modern it looks really nice. I can't wait for our Summer holiday in Rhodes so I can wear it with pretty crop tops and gladiator sandals!

PS - You may have already seen this on Twitter, but I'd really appreciate it if you could spare a few minutes to fill out my questionnaire on vintage fashion. It's part of my research for my fashion report/dissertation so I'd be really grateful if you could help me out! CLICK HERE to take the survey. Thank you!
You'd never guess it was from ASDA, it looks great!
ReplyDeleteI love the skirt on you! I love the midi skirts at the moment, but Maxi tends to look odd on me; mostly because I'm tall and they're more ankle-skimming than floor-skimming... xx
ReplyDeleteLove this outfit on you. I'm not a big maxi skirt girl as I don't really feel it suits my shape, but if I looked as good as you do in them I'd definitely own a few!

I love the maxi trend because I think it flatters a taller frame (I'm 5"11) but I do have to get them from the tall section. It really suits you too I would've never guessed it was from asda!
ReplyDeleteI have done your survey, I hope it helps with your research :)

Love the outfit, I have the same blouse and adore the cape shape. I have a similar skirt but in burgundy and not quite as long. I'm going to wear it with a sheer shirt tucked in and maybe ankle boots. I like the sound of gladiators in the summer though =)
