Over the years of blogging I've posted a few 'daily make up routines', but found that I'd switch the products up fairly quickly and always be using something different once a product ran out or something new caught my eye. That wasn't always the best for my skin as I'd constantly be using something new, and if breakouts occurred it was difficult to pin point exactly what was making my already sensitive skin go a little cray! Now I've found a routine that, minus a few variations in the brow and lash departments, I've stuck to for a good few months and an array of products that make my skin happy.
First I cleanse my skin and prep it for make up by applying a thin layer of the Origins GinZing moisturiser. I do sometimes get an oily T-zone, so I also use a mattifying moisturiser on my forehead and nose too. I start by buffing a pea sized amount of the Vichy Dermablend foundation (see a full review of this here) in to my skin using the Real Techniques Expert Face brush. Then I apply some of the Technic Brilliant Touch Highlighter and Blemish Corrector (a cheap and cheerful dupe of Touche Eclat!) under my eyes and to any blemishes or pigmentation, and blend out with the same brush.
At the moment I am loving cream blushers for a dewy look to the skin, and I tend to flit between Topshop and H&M's shades. Right now I'm using the shade 'Sunny Peach' from H&M which is a really subtle coral shade.
I then like to do a little touch of contouring with a Topshop Bronzer in the shade 'Sandcastle' which I love as it's very sheer and doesn't have shimmer in it, so it's great for contour! I sweep this just beneath my cheekbones and my jawline, then finish by setting the whole look with the Vichy Dermablend Setting Powder. I use a big fluffy brush to gently dust a thin layer over my T-zone and anywhere else prone to getting a little oily throughout the day.
Face done, I then move on to brows. The product I use varies between a MAC, Anastasia or my current go-to, the Youngblood Brow Pencil. I brush them through then fill them in with the pencil, before setting them in to place with the MAC Brow Set.
When it comes to lashes, I'm not really that bothered about the mascara I use as I'm lucky to have fairly long lashes, so I tend to turn to whatever I can find! At the moment it's Rimmel Extra 3D Lash, but usually it would tend to be something by Benefit. Any will do!
That's pretty much it when it comes to my daily make up look. Sometimes, if I have the time (or patience) I will dabble in some winged liquid liner, then of course there's the lipstick which is usually one of these shades.
What products are in your everyday make up collection?
