DRESSED DOWN LEATHER

One of my favourite but most tricky to wear fabrics is faux leather. Whether it's a biker jacket, some classic boots or a pair of skinny fit leather trousers, I'm all over it, but they can be difficult to style. This faux leather skirt from Quiz is the perfect piece for this in-between weather, and to take from day to night. I styled it on the casual side today and chose a simple striped long sleeve tee and oversized denim jacket to dress it down.

This look could easily be taken to night time by swapping out the tights and ankle boots for some pretty lace up heels, and going for a cute off the shoulder bardot style top or even a silky camisole. It's also going to be a great piece for work by switching the denim jacket for a slim fitting blazer or a lightweight duster jacket, and some chic pointed flats instead of the boots. So versatile!
