LFW A/W12 FAVOURITES #3

Morning all! I'm hoping to get a second post up this afternoon of today's outfit if I get chance, but for now I wanted to show you some more of my London Fashion Week favourites. I promise I have nearly finished these posts. Only one more tomorrow! I will then return to the usual Home Inspiration/Outfit/Wishlist/Sitting Pretty Styles posts. Just wanted to also quickly say that my Pinspire giveaway is still live! There are only a couple of entries so far which I'm surprised at. Erdem:
This season it seems Erdem was going for a ladylike meets fetish theme, where black lace and rubber moulded with florals and tweeds. On paper it sounds wrong, but it reality is was oh so right. What you would expect to look a little tacky actually looked sophisticated and innovative. I especially loved the high neck black rubber vest and lime green lace pencil skirt combo. 

Alexander McQueen McQ:
This was one of the few shows I got to remembered to watch online and even though the stream on the Alexander McQueen Facebook page was a little dark and dreary, it still made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. It was such a theatrical show, set on an Autumn leaf covered runway, and it built and built into a crescendo. The final look was a stunning white gown (not pictured) worn by model Kristen McMenamy. A spotlight then shone only on her whilst leaves fell from above, then she followed a rope to the back of the catwalk where a forest appeared out of nowhere. If you haven't seen it I would urge you to watch it! The looks started off quite simplistic in khaki greens, looking somewhat like military wear, but built into flamboyant floral creations with full skirts and lace detailing. Everything was stunning!

Jonathan Saunders:

I loved this collection more for the prints than anything else. The orange and lilac printed button up dress below is just beautiful, and so me! There seemed to be so many different aspects of this collection. Everything from florals, tweeds and checks to textures of embossing, wool and leather. I also really liked the little details in this set, such as the curved shapes of the waist belts and the pointy little collars peeking out.

Mark Fast:
This collection was very muted in colour compared to a lot of others, but I think the colour palette really helped to show off the detail of the knits. Mark Fast's knitwear is always on point, and this season was no different. I loved all the little ruchings and plaits made from the fabrics themselves, and the monochrome stripes added a youthful feel to a fairly mature, clean collection. My favourite piece was the figure hugging grey dress (centre) and I loved the knitted necklace in the next image.

Matthew Williamson:

Another beautiful array of prints and colours. Half of this collection actually said 'Spring' to me more than Autumn/Winter, maybe because of the colours he has chosen. Did anyone else get that feeling? There were quite a few coats and fur pieces that I've not pictured, but the overall palette was very bright. Not saying that's a bad thing though! Matthew Williamson always delivers amazing prints, and these were gorgeous. This was one collection where I couldn't decide which images to show you as I had saved so many. I've got a lot of inspiration from this for my own wardrobe, especially the layering of sheer blouses!
