POPPY PATTERNED

So it may seem that Spring has finally arrived in Lancashire, hurrah! To celebrate, behold, an outfit that doesn't involve a chunky jumper or a coat! I saw the sunshine from my window this morning and donned a pretty new dress in all the excitement, completing the look with a long sleeved tee and some tights (it may have stopped raining but it's still a little chilly, people!). The poppy dress is by Chi Chi and is the most incredible shade of red. I'm not usually one for clothing that has gems on it, but the ones in the centres of the flowers catch the light so nicely without being to in your face, if you know what I mean!

I wish I had a wedding or Christening to go to as this would be the perfect dress for a special occasion teamed with some nude pointed stilettos and matching clutch. It's going to be one of my go to dresses for summer nights out with a pair of chunky wedges and a little denim jacket though, so I'm sure I'll get plenty of wear out of it.
